Park Hill Renovation
This Park Hill Tudor house was built in 1908. The client approached Cult Creative with a desire to take this traditionally segmented home, and open up walls to create better flow between living, dining, and kitchen spaces. In addition to meeting client goals of creating a more open floor plan, we enjoyed the opportunity to bring the homeowner’s individual style throughout interior selections. This homeowner is a yogi and world traveler. Keeping the traditional look of the home while bringing in art pieces collected through travel as well as lighting influenced by Southern Asian traditions was an exciting way to build a project unique to this client. The full scope of the project included removing walls between the existing dining room and kitchen, creating a larger opening from the living room to the new kitchen location, updating a powder room, and adding a laundry room at the second level. Some fun elements within those spaces include concrete tile backsplash with moroccan style pattern, imported light fixtures, an updated fireplace, and fresh paint throughout. One special feature in the home is the design and installation of countertop material on the bay window sills for the dual use of housing plants or being used as a buffet during the holiday season.
