Old Town Arvada Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU)
This two-story Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) was built behind a traditional 1909 brick Victorian in the Historic Olde Town Arvada Zoning District. As such, the new construction was required to be built using materials and style complimentary to the existing structure – in this case, brick to match the main residence and composite siding painted in historic green shades. This ADU was designed to accommodate a large truck and motorcycles in the garage at the ground floor. The ground level also contains a music studio with full sound attenuation to keep noise isolated from ADU tenants above. The second floor unit consists of a one-bedroom apartment with living room, full kitchen, bathroom, and laundry.
